Ealing Regional Qualifier – 24/25 February 2018

Lisa’s Meet report from this weekend:

Following on from the success of the Counties, we had 29 swimmers attend the Ealing Open Meet at the weekend. The athletes once again, improved on their previous PBs and won numerous medals.

Support for each other was brilliant which made the Meet even more exciting and enjoyable.

Medallists:

Anisa – Bronze 50 breast and 100 breast plus first County consideration times for next year for 50 breast, 100 breast and 50 back

Faith – Gold 200 back, 200 free, 100 fly, 50 back, 50 fly, 50 free, Silver 100 free, 100 back

Cerys – Gold 200 IM, 100 IM, Silver 100 back, Bronze 50 breast and 100 breast

Amani – Gold 200 fly with gigantic 18.47 second PB. Gold 200 back, 200 breast, Silver 400 free (16.63 second PB), 200 IM, 100 breast, Bronze 100 free

Gabriel – Gold 100 IM, 50 breast, 100 breast, Sliver 50 fly, 100 fly, 200 IM, Bronze 50 free

Will – Gold 200 breast, Silver 50 fly, 50 free, 100 IM

Tallulah – Gold 100 back and 100 IM, Silver 50 fly, Bronze 50 free

Cicely – Silver 50 free

County qualifying times and PBs:

Bianka – 50 breast and 50 free county consideration times. 8.63 second pb 100 free

Chantelle – first county qualification time for 50 free. Enormous 12.4 second PB on 100 back

Edvin – first county consideration time for 50 free 4.5 second PB

Lilianna – first county consideration for 50 back and 4.04 second PB 50 breast

Olivia P – 3.72 second PB 50 back, 3.75 second PB 50 free, 4.96 second PB 100 IM

Eva P – 3.58 second PB 50 breast and 4.46 second pb 100 breast

Dylan – 4.97 second PB on 100 IM

Leah – 400 free massive 17 second PB

Olivia W – 8.54 second PB 100 free, 4.11 second PB 100 back, 2.55 seconds 50 free

Poppy – 3.67 PB 100 back and 4.31 second PB 100 IM

Ruby W – 4.33 second PB 100 IM

Cylia – 5.79 second PB 100 back and 3.60 second PB 100 IM

Ruby B – 4.22 second PB 100 back.

Outstanding swims from Amani, especially in the 200 Butterfly and 200 Breaststroke. Both events were paced brilliantly and thoroughly exciting to watch.
